Beginner Night Club 2 Step Group Class

Beginner Night Club Two Step

Smooth, romantic, and effortlessly elegant, Night Club Two Step is one of the most practical partner dances you can learn. Designed for slower contemporary music, it is the perfect dance for weddings, date nights, social events, and any occasion where you want to move comfortably and confidently with a partner.

Unlike many ballroom dances, Night Club Two Step emphasizes connection, flow, and musical expression rather than complex patterns or fast footwork. Its gentle movements and relaxed rhythm make it accessible for beginners while still offering endless opportunities for creativity and personal style as you grow.

Often danced to modern love songs, soft rock, and acoustic music, Night Club Two Step allows couples to truly connect with the music and each other. Whether you’re preparing for a special occasion or simply looking for a beautiful way to enjoy dancing together, this versatile style provides a welcoming and enjoyable introduction to partner dancing.

No previous dance experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and discover why Night Club Two Step has become a favorite among social dancers everywhere.

Sequence Group Class

Sequence Dancing

Sequence Dancing is a unique style of ballroom dancing where everyone on the floor dances the same steps, in the same order, to the same piece of music. Combining the elegance of traditional ballroom with the social atmosphere of community dancing, Sequence Dance has been enjoyed for generations in dance halls and social clubs around the world.

Unlike freestyle partner dancing, where dancers create their own patterns, Sequence Dancing follows a set choreography that repeats throughout the music. Popular dances include Waltzes, Foxtrots, Quicksteps, Tangos, Latin sequences, and many modern choreographed routines.

The beauty of Sequence Dancing lies in its accessibility and sense of connection. Once you learn a sequence, you can dance it with different partners and at social events almost anywhere. It provides an enjoyable way to improve timing, technique, musicality, and floorcraft while experiencing the satisfaction of moving together as part of a larger community of dancers.

Whether you’re completely new to dance or returning to the floor after many years, Sequence Dancing offers a welcoming and rewarding introduction to the world of ballroom dance.

Country Night

If you’ve been looking for a reason to dust off your cowboy boots, this is it!

On Friday, July 31st, I’m hosting a Country Night at Indianapolis Dance Lessons at Starlite Ballroom, and I’d love for you to join us.

The evening starts with two beginner-friendly lessons before we open the floor for a couple of hours of country dancing, great music, and good company. Whether you’ve been dancing for years or have never taken a lesson before, you’ll fit right in.

Evening Schedule

6:00 PM – Country Partner Dance Lesson

7:00 PM – Line Dance Lesson

7:30–9:30 PM – Country Social Dance

Throughout the night we’ll be dancing everything from Country Two Step and Triple Two Step to West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Night Club Two Step, Waltz, Polka, Cha Cha, and of course, plenty of line dances.

Admission

$20 – Includes both lessons and the social dance

$15 – Social Dance Only (Entry from 7:30 PM)

No partner? That’s completely fine. Most people come to meet others, learn something new, and simply enjoy a great night out.

My goal with these events is simple: create a place where people feel welcome from the moment they walk through the door. No pressure, no cliques—just good music, friendly people, and lots of dancing.

I hope you’ll come along and be part of it.

See you on the dance floor!

Beginner West Coast Swing Group Class

West Coast Swing

West Coast Swing is a modern, versatile partner dance known for its smooth style, creativity, and incredible connection between partners. Danced to a wide variety of music—from contemporary pop and blues to R&B and country—it is one of the most adaptable and social dances in the world.

At its heart, West Coast Swing is about communication, partnership, and having fun with the music. Rather than memorizing routines, dancers learn how to connect with one another, interpret the music, and create each dance together in the moment. This makes every dance unique and allows dancers of all levels to share the floor with confidence.

Whether you’re looking to meet new people, discover a welcoming dance community, or simply enjoy an activity that gets you moving, West Coast Swing offers a relaxed and inclusive environment where friendships are built one dance at a time. The skills you develop—timing, connection, musicality, and confidence—will stay with you long after the music ends.

No experience is necessary. Just bring a willingness to learn, have fun, and become part of a community that loves to dance.
